Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have killed many, when they overran two Borno communities which are on the fringes of Lake Chad region, security said.
The insurgents allegedly stormed the towns in large numbers where they outnumbered and overpowered the troops and cart away ammunition.
They sacked troops at the ancient town of Kukawa, Headquarters of Kukawa Local Government Area in the northern part of the state on Saturday evening.
A security source added that insurgents had earlier dislodge troops at Gudumbali, the Headquarters of Guzamala Local Government Area on Friday.
The source added that many soldiers and civilians were killed but details is still sketches.
