Amaka Regina Nwoji and Mrs. Olaotan Catherine Enobong have been appointed as substantive bursar and librarian respectively of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka in Lagos State.
Both appointments are for the period of five years in the first instance, renewable after a satisfactory service.
Nwoji, who hails from Anambra State, is a Chartered Accountant. She attended FCE (Technical) Akoka for her National Certificate in Education (NCE) majoring in Business Education in 1986 before she proceeded to the University of Lagos where she obtained her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Accountancy in 1996 as well as a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in financial management.
She joined the College in 1987 and rose to the position of Director of Audit and Acting Bursar in May, 2017.
Olaotan, the librarian, started her professional career in librarianship with the Ogun State Library Board, Simeon Adebo Library, Abeokuta in 1991 and rose to the position of Deputy Director, Library Services. From 1995, she worked as head of Ogun State Library Services and also served as the Secretary to the Board until 2006. She thereafter transferred her services to FCE Abeokuta as principal librarian and rose to the rank of chief librarian in 2016.
Born in 1968 in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State, she attended the University of Nigeria, Nsukka for her Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science in 1990 and Masters Degree in the same field in 2004. She then proceeded to the University of Ibadan for her Masters of Philosophy, School Librarianship Degree in 2016.
She is currently pursuing her doctoral programme at the same University, Centre for Educational Media Resources Studies (CEMRS).
