Information ministry bags best website ranking award

The Federal Ministry of Information has emerged first in the ranking of Federal Government establishments’ websites in ensuring Ease of Doing Business.

SERVICOM came second and the Federal Ministry of Justice came Third.

The acting Director General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), Mr. Dasuki Arabi, said this yesterday in Abuja at the official release of the 2018 Evaluation Result of the Federal Government scorecard for ranking websites of Federal Public Institutions.

Arabi said the finding of their research showed that majority of government Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs) who are the machinery for implementing government policies lack functional websites.

Seventy MDAs were evaluated by the (IMTT) as a pilot scheme and members of the team were drawn from various MDAs including Galaxy Backbone, Nigerian Internet Registration Association, The Right to Know (R2K), Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation and Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) among others.
