Political interest and engagement among young people are increasing daily, the Executive Director of Youngsters Foundation, Kingsley Bangwell, has said.
Mr. Bangwell made the assertion at the Young Aspirants Leadership Fellowship, 2018 Semester 2, in Abuja on Thursday.
He said as more young people are getting involved in politics, they are more inclined to change.
“There is growing interest in young people to engage in the political space with the motivation to create change. Obviously, there is some form of dissatisfaction about the level of leadership capacity to be able to transform and translate our commonwealth into democratic and governance dividend in terms of education, power, quality health service and roads,” he said.
He said most young people want access to political offices to use their political capital to bring about positive change.
He said the fellowship was meant to encourage better youth participation in politics.
