The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Enugu East Senatorial District, Prince Lawrence Eze has said that contrary to the wrong notion in some quarters, the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo’s visit to Enugu State at the weekend has energised and elevated the party in the state to a higher level.
Answering questions on Sunday from newsmen on the significance of Osibanjo’s visit, Prince Eze said the visit has at least removed shame from APC and corrected the falsehood that APC lacked presence in the state.
Daily Trust recalls that Vice President Osibanjo was in Enugu at the weeked where he commissioned the campaign office of the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Ayogu Eze and later attended as guest of honour the public presentation of “An Honour To Serve,” a book on the eight years of former Governor Sullivan Chime in Enugu State.
He said: “The visit of the vice president to Enugu State has further energized the APC in the state. It has proven too that Enugu APC has life in it, that Enugu APC has taken over the entire Enugu State”.
