Aisha Buhari, ITF empower 410 women in Jigawa

Over 410 women have received various skills acqusition training and economic empowerment packages in Jigawa state.

The beneficiaries received the intervention under Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and Aisha Buhari’s Future Assure foundation Project.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony of 30 women trained on sewing in Dutse, the Director General of ITF, Joseph N. Ari, said the program was part of the accelerated effort to equip women with skills with a view to eradicate poverty among them.

He said, all the women underwent the training in the state were given sewing machine by the organization and N10,000 as take up capital by Jigawa state government.

In a related development, the Wife of the president, Aisha Buhari, distributed wheelchairs, sewing machines, delivery kids and other empowerment packages to over 380 vulnerable women .
