The Operations Controller of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Abeokuta Field Office, Muinat Bello-Zagi has said the agency had battled mirage of challenges mitigating against smooth operations of downstream sector in Ogun State, and restored sanity within one year that the office was established.
Some of the challenges, according to her, are diversion of products, underdispensing, illegal LPG operations, unserviceable fire extinguishers among others.
She spoke while delivering her address at first Annual General Meeting and Anniversary of DPR, Abeokuta Field Office, held in Ogun State capital.
According to her, Abeokuta Field Office had lived up to its duty “of ensuring product availability and enforcing the standards, rules and regulations guiding the oil and gas operations in Ogun State.”
Bello-Zagi noted that the AGM offered stakeholders opportunity to interact, share knowledge, ideas and experiences in order to continually improve on the DPR activities in Ogun and Nigeria at large.
