The family members of late Major General Mohammed Idriss Alkali (Rtd) have observed the third day Fidau prayer for him at the palace of emir of Fika, in Potiskum town, Yobe State.
The prayer, led by the Chief Imam of Potiskum Central Mosque, Imam Mohammed Alkali Kalli, along with other clerics and hundreds of sympathizers was observed at 8:00am.
The congregation prayed to Allah to grant him and all other Muslims that died Jannatul firdaus (the highest layer of heaven).
The Chairman, Yobe council of chiefs and Emir of Fika, Muhammadu Ibn Abali Muhammad Idrissa, the leader of the Alkali family Air commodore Ibrahim Alkali (Galdiman Fika) and other family members were among those in attendance.
Major General Muhammad Alkali, the immediate past Chief of administration of Nigerian Army, was buried in Abuja on Friday, after his remains were recovered from an abandoned well in Guchwet village, Shen district of Jos South LGA, Plateau state.
