Kaduna unrest: NEMA distributes relief materials to victims

SEMA’s Executive Secretary Ben Kure who flagged off the relief Materials distribution at Kajuru Local Government Secretariat urged the people in the area to live in peace and harmony.

 

According to him, both Christians and Muslims are created by one God.

Items distributed were foodstuffs which include rice, palm oil, maize and beans.

 

Ben urged the residents to avoid attributing religion to every misunderstanding that occurred between them.

 

“We brought this relief materials to be shared to the victims of this unfortunate crisis. We need each other to survive because we are created by one God. What happened at Kasuwar Magani and other parts of the state was painful and very sad.”

 

“We pray this should be the last time we will witnessed any crisis in this state, particularly in Kajuru Local government. Let allow religion to encourage us to live in peace and harmony and not to divide us” he said.

 

He told the representatives of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN)‎ and Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) to always promote peace among their faithful.

 

Kajuru Vice Chairman Suleiman Gambo Maro commended the‎ state government for the relief materials.

 

He explained that peace is key to development and that crisis never brings development to any society.
