FG to take position on minimum wage on Monday – Ngige

The Federal Government will on Monday take a position on the new National minimum wage on Monday, Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige has said.

Ngige who told State House reporters this afternoon said an enlarged meeting of all key stakeholders in the government circle at both federal and states has been scheduled for Monday.

He said the decision would be taken at the end of the meeting before a draft law would be transmitted to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari on the new national minimum wage law.

Recall that, while the organized labour proposes N30,000,the Federal government says N24,000 and state governments are saying N20,000 for the National minimum wage.
