Over 60,000 patients suffering from different ailments are expected to be treated and operated by the 300 medical personnel comprising both foreign and local doctors, nurses and laboratory scientists engaged by Kebbi State government for its fifth free medical outreach program in the state.

100 doctors and 200 nurses are expected to take part in the free medical outreach program.

The Kebbi State Commissioner for Health, Alhaji Usman Kambaza in a press conference in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday said the free medical exercise was designed to help and encouraged members of the community who might not have access or afford to pay for health services.

He said “The medical outreach program is an activity that provides access to free consultation , free laboratory investigations, for people in the state irrespective of gender and religion”.

He assured that the state government has fully taken responsibility of bearing the cost of the exercise which is scheduled to start from the 29th of October to 9th of November,2018 at Kebbi Medical Centre Kalgo.
