“Air Force lieutenant” selling scam jobs arrested

Police have arrested a man they said paraded himself as an air force lieutenant duping people with fake appointment letters to military, police and paramilitary jobs.

The man has been named as Amos Samuel. He was arrested in a hotel in Akwanga.

Nasarawa police spokesman SP Idrisu Kennedy said Samuel was found in possession of letters of appointment for jobs in Customs, Air force, Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Nigerian Immigration Service, Nigerian Navy, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Investigation is still ongoing.

Meanwhile a tip off led to the arrest of three men who robbed a couple at Gunki town on October 16.

The men are named as Salisu Bako 25 years, Ali Ibrahim 22 years and Moses Yakubu 22 years of no fixed addresses.

Police said two locally fabricated pistols  with two live cartridges  were recovered in the arrest, alongside items belonging to the robbery victims.
