Group upbeat on Katung’s chance

A group, the Southern Kaduna Youth for Progress and Development (SKYPAD), has described the choice of Barrister Sunday Marshall Katung as the Kaduna State PDP governorship running mate as a boost to the party’s chances in next year’s election.

President of the group, Danjuma Bello Sarki, said at a press conference in Kaduna that Katung’s popularity, pedigree and experience in administration and politics would help the PDP win the election. He said during his tenure as Commissioner for Finance and Water Resources, he initiated reforms and took steps that increased Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), prudence management of state resources as well as provision of potable water among other laudable efforts.
