The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River state has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately sack the minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Usani Uguru Usani.
Speaking at a press briefing in Calabar on Friday, Dr Odigha Odigha, former director general of Cross River Forestry Commission who spoke on behalf of state chairman, Dr Matthew Achigbe and other party stakeholders across the 18 LGA in the state, accused Usani of anti-party activities.
The party has also called on the national leadership of the party to endorse the suspension of the minister as they were proceeding to revisit his suspension from the party, which was temporary suspended as a way of reconciliation.
They alleged that the minister has been engaged in countless anti-party activities, not only by hobnobbing with Governor Ben Ayade but deliberately undermining the party’s structures in the state for selfish interest.
