The Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Dr. Najeem Salaam has assured the people of the state, particularly civil servants, that the Governor-elect, Alhaji Gboyegba Oyetola would not be vindictive when he takes over.

Salaam said this while addressing leaders, supporters and sympathizers of All Progressives Congress (APC) at his Country home in his town, Ejigbo.

However, he charged stakeholders in the civil service to give positive orientation to the civil servants and constantly remind them on the need to scale down their partisanship so as not to be tarred with partisan brush.

He warned against the destructive politicking among the political class, stressing that common good and selfless service should be the target of every citizen.

The Speaker commended the supporters of his party for delivering victory to the APC in Ejigbo.

Salaam said Oyetola’s administration would fix roads and infrastructure in Osun West and Ejigbo would receive attention it deserved in due course.

Dr. Salaam said he was not comfortable with the political rhetorics that trailed the just concluded electioneering campaign; noting that the opposition parties only succeeded in exposing Osun to public ridicule under the guise of attacking the incumbent, instead of explaining what they intended to do differently.
