Hold leaders accountable, RBNP Rep candidate tells electorates

A House of Representatives candidate for Orlu, Orsu, Oru East Federal Constituency of Imo State on the platform of Re-Build Nigeria Party (RBNP), Fidelis Onyedikam, has charged Nigerian electorates to always strive to hold leaders accountable, to ensure transparency at all levels of government.

Onyedikam, who stated this while briefing newsmen in Abuja on Monday, hinted that he is in the race for the House of Representatives in order to “take power back for the people through accountable representation.”

“I want to go to the House of Representatives in order to take power back for the people through accountable representation. I want to fight for peoples’ rights and make sure that what belongs to them actually gets to them. I am a passionate politician with a good sense of sportsmanship devoid of criminality,” Onyedikam noted.

The British trained journalist turned politician added that his choice of RBNP stemmed from the fact that it is the only platform that can guarantee transparency and credibility, where the voices of the people could be heard through a “two-way communication channel.”

Onyedikam lamented that Nigerians, after 58 years of independence, were suffering because of the antics of greedy politicians who are bent on milking the nation dry at all costs.

The self acclaimed grassroots politician said if elected, he would engage in what he called “developmental law-making,” which would address burning national issues such as unemployment.
