Senator Isah Galaudu, a former chief of staff to the Senate President, has won the Peoples Democratic Party governorship primary election in Kebbi State.
He polled 1,072 votes to beat three other contestants in the primary.
“It is clear there is vacancy in Kebbi Government House and PDP is ready to occupy it,” Galaudu said.
Senator Umar Tafida got 720 votes to come second. Others aspirants, Buhari Bala, former PDP national treasurer got 322 votes while Abubakar Malam got 28 votes.
He commended other aspirants, Tafida, Malam and Bala for allowing credible election where he emerged winner.
Reacting former minister of special duties, Tanimu Turaki said Galaudu’s emergence as PDP governorship candidate was the will of God.
“We will support him to flush out the APC government in Kebbi State “
