Senator Yakubu Lado has won the PDP party primaries to run for governor of Katsina state.
He polled 3,386 votes in the primaries, beating six others.
Announcing the results, chairman of the electoral committee, Sen Bala Kariya said Arc Aminu Yaradua got 243 votes, Musa Nashuni 1 vote, while the trio of Abdullahi Tata, Garba Faskari and Sada Ali got no votes at all.
