Jigawa State governorship primary election for both the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the state are yet to start their respective party’s election.
When Daily Trust visited the Aminu Kano Triagle in Dutse, venue of APC’ primary election, apart from the party faithful that were seated, no activity in respect of the exercise was taking place.
But the Chieftain of the party, Mustapha Kwalam, said election was expected to start at 7 pm but up till the time of filling this report, it is not yet clear whether the exercise that supposed to have started at 10 am will hold as scheduled.
In a related development, no activity in Dutse township stadium, the venue of PDP gubernatorial primary election.
When Daily Trust visited the stadium, delegates were seen with their tags hanging but nobody among them could explain why the exercise that ought to have started in the morning was yet to commence.
At the time of filling this report, the election is yet to start in the stadium.
