Party members on Friday peacefully cast their votes during the presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held in Jigawa state.
A visit by our correspondent to Katchi, Limawa and Jigawan Tsada wards showed that all voters were accredited through the presentation of their membership cards.
The turn out was generally impressive as at 2:30pm when our reporter visited some of the centres where he counted about 300 persons on queues.
Daily Trust can reports that the primaries were also peaceful in the Hadejia zone of the state, as party members came out enmasse.
Collation of results of the election had since started at the party’s various local government headquarters in the state.
