Youths take campaign against corruption to Kaduna streets

About 200 young men and women took to the streets of Kaduna on Friday to sensitize residents on the need to shun corruption with a view to creating a better future for generations to come.

Our correspondent reports that the three kilometres walk which started from Yakubu Gowon Road close to the post office and ended on Taiwo Road along the Ahmadu Bello Way saw youths carrying various placards with different messages against corruption.

According to her, “We, as youths, feel we are the generation that will right the wrongs of the past and set a new standard for the future. So we embarked on the walk to let people know that everyone has a role to play in the fight against corruption.

“We the ‘One Project Afrika’ did the walk in partnership with YIAGA and we are optimistic that we passed the message because we feel too much emphasis of corruption is made on the elite and public office holders while even the masses are equally guilty.”
