Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa state has declared his intentions to re-contest for the gubernatorial seat in the forthcoming elections under the All Progressive Congress (APC) party.
“ I hereby on behalf of myself, family and the people of Adamawa state wish to declare my intentions to continue to change the narration of my people again”. He declared.
He explained that even though the three and the half years spent as governor was rough, he was able to bring peace and developments in the state.
With regards to the local government salaries, he said he met seven months arrears of the previous administration and was able to settle them for six months.
The governor appealed to the people of Adamawa to embrace peace regardless of any tribal or ethnic differences.
The state chairman of the APC Adamawa chapter, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal has endorsed Bindow for continuity as the governor of the state come 2019.
“With direct or in-direct primaries, you will have our full support. No one can vote you out of the executive of the state come 2019.”
