We’re against governor Abubakar’s endorsement – Aspirants

All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirants in Bauchi State have opposed the purported endorsement of Governor Mohammed Abubakar as its sole governorship candidate for the 2019 elections.

A member of the party, Engineer Yakubu Ibrahim, said at a press conference in Bauchi yesterday that what the party did flouted provisions of its constitution and other guidelines.

Ibrahim who represented one of the aspirants, Mohammed Ali Pate at the meeting where Governor Abubakar was endorsed, said other aspirants were being denied the chance through undemocratic means.

Other governorship aspirants including Dr Ibrahim Yakubu Lame, Captain Bala Jibrin and others had resolved to reach a consensus and present one aspirant in order to defeat Governor Abubakar at the primaries.
