Shaykh Ibrahim Nakaka has emerged the new chairman of the Council of Imams and Ulama in Kaduna State. He succeeded Shaykh Usman Abubakar Baban Tine who died on September 10, 2018 at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) Shika, Zaria after a brief illness.
A statement from the Secretary General of the council, Malam Yusuf Yakubu Arrigasiyyu yesterday in Kaduna said Shaykh Nakaka emerged after a series of consultations among its members. He said the Chief Imam of Zaria Low-Cost Mosque, Dr. Muhammad Aliyu is now the first vice chairman while the Chief Imam of Yahaya Road Mosque and Acting Chief Imam of Kafanchan Mosque, Shaykh Muhammad Hassan and Malam Muhammad Kabir Qasim are second and third vice chairmen respectively.
