A senatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for FCT, in the 2019 elections, Senator Usman Jibrin Wowo, has said he has what it takes to represent the people of the territory at the Senate.
Wowo stated this while addressing the party’s state working committee members and executives when he submitted his nomination form at the APC secretariat in Abuja, yesterday.
He said people of the FCT needed capable hands that would address the challenges facing the territory.
The aspirant said if given the mandate in the 2019 Senate elections, he would explore all avenues to ensure that the voices of the people of the FCT were heard in all ramifications.
Senator Wowo, therefore, solicited for the support of party delegates to give him their votes, saying he would not disappoint them at the National Assembly in 2019.
“And I want to assure the party delegates that I am not going to disappoint you, as I shall serve the entire people of the FCT sincerely because my going there is not for self-aggrandizement,” he said.
Also speaking, the state vice chairman of the APC, Mr. Patrick Ogunyemi, who received the form on behalf of the state chairman, said the party would continue to ensure that every aspirant was given the chance to play his role.
He cautioned the state party executives against aligning themselves with any of the senatorial aspirants.
