Hajj: Katsina pilgrims begin return journey tomorrow

Katsina state will start airlift of its pilgrims back to Nigeria tomorrow, the Executive Director of the state’s Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abu Rimi has said.

Kano Chronicle reports that delay in the return journey home has caused serious tension and apprehension among the pilgrims with other states almost concluding their return flight.

Addressing the pilgrims at Salama Towers, in Saudi Arabia, Rimi said arrangements had been concluded for the first flight home tomorrow d.

“Apart from our first flight on that day, we equally secured for the second, third and fourth flights to be done on 14th, 15th and 16th of this month,” he added.

He thanked the pilgrims for their patience and enjoined them to continue to cooperate with officials for a hitch free exercise.

Meanwhile, luggage weighing has been concluded in preparation for the return home. About 2,810 pilgrims performed this year’s Hajj From the state.
