Alhaji Tajudeen Abdulkadir Audu, the Makaman Lafiagi, has declared his intention to contest for the gubernatorial election in Kwara State on the platform of the All Progressive Party (APC).
Audu, who had already expressed his interest by obtaining his nomination form last Friday, said youths from his constituency of Kwara North, contributed financially to purchase the form on his behalf.
He said youths in Kwara have become disenchanted by the scheme of things in the state under Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed who is completing his two terms in office.
Audu, a professional accountant, said Kwara North had all along been marginalised in the scheme of things with the Governor Ahmed from Kwara South while his predecessors Bukola Saraki and Mohammed Lawal are from Kwara Central.
He said he believed he has the skill and political will to bring his expertise to bear if elected as Governor and promised to uplift the state in terms of infrastructure, education, health and job opportunities.
