The Senator Representing Abia North Senatorial District, Chief Mao Ohuabunwa, has empowered 250 widows and youths from the five local government areas of his senatorial district who have completed their Skill Acquisition Training programme for Abia North Women and Youths in Partnership with Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (SMEDAN) with support tools and 50, 000 capital to assist their choice of projects.
Senator Ohuabunwa presented the Capital and support tools to the current set of trainees on Sunday Ohafia, the senatorial district headquarter .
Speaking before the presentation, the lawmaker said he has presented 14 bills and 16 motions, and two of his bills have been signed into law by the President of the Federation – being two of 75 such bills signed into law by the president in the 8th Senate.
He said ” I have lived up to my constituency responsibilities by ensuring and attracting federal projects in all areas of infrastructure and services spread to all the 5 LGAs of our constituency, especially in providing for the health needs of our constituency through my Chairmanship of the Senate Committee on Primary Health Care and Communicable Diseases and member of many other Committees including Appropriation and Works”.
