Bauchi State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ‎has advised aspirants seeking election into various offices against defecting to other parties if they failed to secure the party’s ticket.

State chairman of the party, Alhaji Hamza Akoshe Akuyam gave the advice when a House of Representative aspirant for Toro federal constituency, Joshua Titus Sanga submitted his expression of interest form at the party Secretariat in Bauchi.

The chairman who was represented by the state PDP youth leader, Murtala Abubakar said that aggrieved aspirants after primaries should not seek an alternative platform ‎in another party but should remain and work for the party to win election.

He promised all aspirants that the party would provide a level playing ground to all of them and that no candidate for any position will be imposed on members of the party in the forthcoming primary elections.

” We assure all aspirants contesting for different positions in the PDP that our primary elections will be free and fair. We will do justice to all aspirants. Therefore it will be unfair for aspirants who lose the elections to defect from the party. Let all party members unite and support our candidates so that we can triumph in the next 2019 general elections’, ‘he urged.

In his speech, the aspirant’s campaign coordinator, Malam Musa Abubakar informed that the aspirant is a credible and reliable person and should be supported by the party because of his track records as a public servant.

He also promised that the campaign team would play by the rules and regulations of the party.

Primary elections into different elective offices was scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to hold from September 20th to 6th October 2018.
