A front line gubernatorial aspirant under Labour Party, (LP) in Kwara State, Comrade Issa Aremu has promised to draw on the experience of traditional authorities with respect to governance and leadership if elected to office in all the communities that make up Kwara state.

He made this disclosure during a courtesy call on the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, in Ilorin on Thursday.

Leading a mammoth crowd drawn from Labour Party and his Alapata/Babako ward in Ilorin, Aremu said more than other political parties, the manifesto of LP recognizes that traditional rulers are the real custodians of the traditional institutions and cultural values of the Nigerian people and that in this capacity they play a very important leadership role at the grassroots level.
