Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of Gombe State on Wednesday swore in four new permanent secretaries in the state civil service with a call on them to maintain high sense of responsibility.
He asked them to ensure government policies and programmes are efficiently implemented by bringing their experience to bear in the conduct of their official duties.
Dankwambo also urged civil servants in the state to exhibit the good virtues of hard work, teamwork, transparency and prudent management of resources and justify the confidence reposed in them.
The governor also solicited for the support and understanding of people of the state, to help in transforming the state through provision of basic infrastructural facilities to improve economic well-being of the indigenes.
The newly sworn-in permanent secretaries are; Ahmed Mohammed Abubakar, Mohammed Sani Yidi, Mohammed Manu Malala and Hamidu Mohammed Hussaini.
Speaking on behalf of the new permanent secretaries, Ahmed Abubakar, thanked the governor for finding them worthy of the appointment, he assured of their loyalty and readiness to work assiduously to justify the confidence repose on them and move the civil service forward.
