Theresa Lola said her last good read is Alice Munroe’s ‘Something I’ve Been Meaning to Tell You’, a short story collection. 

Lola said, “each story details out everyday frailties, emotional health, and the way in which our back stories affect our current and future stories. I love how the complicated characters are unpeeled. It is reflective of real life dilemmas.” 

Lola is joint winner of the 2018 Brunel International African Poetry Prize. She has been shortlisted for the 2017 Bridport Poetry Prize, 2016 London Magazine Poetry Prize, and has won the 2017 Hammer and Tongue National Slam.
