Four members of an armed robbery gang have been arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command at Odogbolu junction along the Sagamu/Ijebu-Ode expressway at about 11.30pm Thursday.
The arrest followed a distress call by members of the public that the hoodlums had blocked the highway and were dispossessing people of their belongings, the state police command’s spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed in a statement.

He said the arrest was effected after the robbers succeeded in snatching a Lexus RX 330 jeep with Reg. No. KSF 509 CV.
He said after a gun battle, four members of the gang, Israel Adams, Opeyemi Okegbenro, Ali Chibike and Patrick Nwandagba were arrested while the others escaped.
