Prof Adikwu disclosed this at the weekend, while exchanging views with the Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu Candido.

He said studies by the University revealed that most primary school teacher could not impart knowledge, leading to little understanding by their pupils.

Adikwu said the curriculum developed in collaboration with a German scholar, Klaus Sterstorfer, is set for pilot application in AMAC and Bwari area councils in the Federal Capital Territory and the University had reached out to some states for their participation in the scheme.

He said the teachers’ communication skills project was part of the University’s contribution to development of its immediate community.
