Conjoined twins delivered at the Malumfashi General Hospital in Katsina by one Rafia Hashimu have died. The twins are joined by their mouth and stomach.
Pictures of the twins have generated huge interest as people share them on social media.
The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Abdulhamid Abdullahi said the woman was rushed to the hospital and assisted with the birth. He said the babies were already dead in the womb, that the woman was only assisted to get the babies out.
“The woman was rushed to our hospital and we assisted her with the delivery,” he said.
