explained that Hanifa needed a liver transplant in India.

Narrating the ordeal of the baby, her mother, Salma said that Hanifa had been suffering from the ailment about six months after her birth.

She said, “We went to the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Kano and Jos University Teaching Hospital and both hospitals suggested that our daughter should be taken to India for a liver transplant.”

She added that her husband was running a pharmacy, but as a result of their daughter’s illness he could not even take care of the family, let alone Hanifa’s liver transplant bill.

“We spent a lot of money and now we don’t have money to pay the bills of our daughter’s liver transplant. We hope the general public would help us,” she said.
