The Kogi State government has inaugurated an eight-man committee to implement the report of the judicial commission of inquiry into the communal crisis amongst three communities of Iyano in Ibaji LGA of the state.
Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Ayoade Folashade Arike, who inaugurated the implementation committee yesterday said the move was to ensure lasting peace amongst the warring communities.
She said that the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello was committed to ensuring peaceful co-existence amongst people of the state and called on the affected communities to embrace peace.
The committee has Barrister Muazu Adinoyi Abbass as chairman and Victor O.Oshamo as Secretary while Timothy Ojoma, Barrister Enejo Aruwa, Mathias Abah, Felicity E.Ohiani, Mallam Ayuba Adamu and Barrister Ola Odana as members.
