The Federal Government has reiterated its resolve to continue to strengthen the capacity of social workers in the country in order to help stem the tide of the increasing spate of anti-social behaviours.
Speaking at the graduation of 55 auxiliary social workers in Makurdi, the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development (FMWASD), Mrs Aisha Alhassan, lauded the programme which was recently institutionalised in tertiary schools across the nation.
Represented by an Assistant Director in the ministry, Ben Okwesa, the minister explained that the training was necessitated by lack of trained social workers in the country.
