The Kogi State chapter of the Jama’atul Nasril Islam (JNI) has urged Muslim organizations and individuals in the state to ensure strict adherence to the guidelines of Tafseer (preaching) set by the national headquarters during the forthcoming month of Ramadan.
JNI State Chairman, Amb. Usman Bello, who made the call yesterday at a press conference held in Lokoja ahead of the Ramadan fast, charged Tafseer preachers to avoid attacks on others and engaging in controversial issues that are capable of causing disunity in the society.
He advised that their preaching should focus on proffering solutions to endemic societal problems and use the period to pray for the nation’s leaders as well as peace, security and unity in Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole.
