The State Secretary of the Alliance for Democracy, Mr Olapade Fakunle said the party was ready to take over the government in the state by winning the September 22nd governorship election in the state.
He said this while receiving the letter of intent to contest from a governorship aspirant, Mr Olugbenga Akintola who declared his intention to contest the forthcoming governorship election in the state on the platform of AD.
The AD chairman said the All Progressive Congress and the People’s Democratic Party were tenants in the Governor’s Office built by AD government and that his party has come back to take over as the original owner.
While speaking, Akintola said AD would bring succour to workers and the entire people of the state when he became governor.
He said his administration would not rely on federal allocation and that he would explore the human capital in the state to create wealth and make life better for the citizens.
He promised to turn the economy of the state around and make life better for the people of the state.
"We are changing the socioeconomic face of the state through a conscious marriage of material and human resources to create wealth through industrialisation".
"I will work assiduously to rebuild a new economic agenda that will guarantee development and human capital investment. Changing the present dicey economy of the state is possible and feasible if all hands are on deck for true change; that is exactly what our party stands for", he said.
