Stakeholders of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi state on Saturday adopted a common consensus to elect a three man delegate in the ward congress election of the party.
Daily Trust gathered that 10 out of the 13 local government councils with total of 171 wards reached the resolution before 2pm yesterday while the remaining 3 were yet to resolve at the point of filling in this report.
Briefing Journalists at the state party headquarters along the Abakaliki- Afikpo highway Chief Nicholas Adekunle, who served as chairman of the Congress Committee, said 4 out of the 13 local were yet to decided at about 3Pm while 9 had already reached a consensus which he said was inline with party constitution.
"Nine out of the thirteen local government have followed the party constitution for consensus and the results are as good as ready and we have 4 that are yet to give us theirs but we have giving them 2,3 hours to settle.
"This is an indication that people of Ebonyi have decided for APC, an indication that they would be librated, it is an indication that the Ebonyi people love the policies and programmes of Mr. President," he said.
Chief Adekunle noted that the committee has not received any report of violence from security operatives on any of the existing 171 wards in the state.
"So far so good it is very peaceful we have not receive any report of violence nor attack from any of the ward in the state. The state commissioner of police, Director of State Service nor the Civil defend have not called us for any problem," he said.
Our correspondent gathered that the 4 council areas outstanding at the point of filling in this report were Izzi and Ikwo where the immediate past governor, Chief Martin Elechi and his political godson, Comrade Chinedu Ogah when he was in office were at longer head over who take what.
