The hunters association in Adamawa State has called on its members to re-arm for continued onslaught against Boko Haram, calling for assistance from Governor Muhammad Jibrilla.
Addressing hundreds of hunters at the Ribadu Square in Yola yesterday, the state chairman, Muhammadu Usman Tola, said there was need for renewed efforts in fighting the insurgents.
This came amidst reports of pockets of attacks in some villages in Madagali.
He said the hunters had worked in synergy with the military to flush out Boko Haram elements from seven local government areas of the state and were ready ýto sustain the effort.
The Commander of Operations, Young Maurice, advised Governor Muhammad Jibrilla to assist them with weapons and vehicles and restore their allowances.
