The Managing Director, Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Engr. Gabriel C. Amuchi has said that the agency will commence immediate repair of federal roads in the North-East geo-political zone of the country.
He said the agency has constituted a committee of the Zonal Coordinators (ZCs) and the Federal Roads Maintenance Engineers (FRMEs) of the North-East geo-political zone and other engineers tagged FERMA Intervention Team on the Repair of Critical Roads in the North East.
This was contained in a statement issued at the weekend signed by FERMA Head of Communication and Public Relations, Mrs Maryam M. Sanusi and made available to journalists in Abuja.
“The team’s programme was to commence immediately, pending formal flag-off in Bauchi State, the working headquarters. They will operate strategically, tackling critical road failures in the Zone along safe locations of these roads, sustain routine maintenance and utilize available resources judiciously,” the statement said.
