Lafarge Africa, Ogun to partner on green agenda

The Ogun State government has made a commitment to partner with Lafarge Africa Plc in setting up a working committee to develop solutions for waste management in the state and establish a transparent and sustainable legacy on renewable energy.
The planned forest restoration scheme by the two parties is aimed at putting environmental concerns in the front burner and making investment environment in the ‘Gateway State’ more conducive.
Speaking during a courtesy visit by representatives of Lafarge Africa to the governor’s office, the new Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for Lafarge Africa Plc, Peter Hoddinott, expressed willingness by the company to offer global expertise in developing solutions for managing wastes in Ogun State while pledging commitment to being a good corporate citizen and to developing the secular economy.
