The former Deputy Governor of Kaduna state, Ambassador Nuhu Audu Bajoga, has advised the Saudi Arabian government to devise effective measures to prevent further tragedy during pilgrimages.
He said the recent tragedy was a sad reminder to the Saudi authorities to double efforts at providing adequate access and security to pilgrims performing the annual event.
In a statement signed by the former deputy governor’s media aide, James Swam, Bajoga advised the royal family to humbly show leadership by admitting responsibility for the tragedy, instead of shifting blames to innocent pilgrims who travelled from different continents to observe one of the pillars of Islam.
