Shettima names commissioners, LG chairmen

Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima yesterday submitted 21 commissioner nominees to the House of Assembly for confirmation and appointed 27 local government chairmen.
The governor’s Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Malam Isa Gusau said in a statement that the nominees include; Usman Ali Zannah, Musa Inuwa Kubo, Adamu Alhaji Lawan, Babagana Tijjani Banki, Kaka Shehu Lawan, Sugum Mai Mele, Dr. Haruna Mshelia, Mustapha Fannarambe, Mohammed Kauji and Dr. Babagana Umara Zulum.
Others are Fanta Baba Shehu, Ahmed Usman Jaha, Zainab Gimba, Yerima Lawan Kareto, Baba Magaji Wamdeo, Inna Galadima, Dr. Mohammed Bulama, Abubakar Ibrahim Babale, Waziri Imam, Ali Abacha and Mohammed Aliyu Dili.
In a related development, Governor Kashim Shettima has reconstituted the state Universal Basic Education Board (BOSUBEB) with Dr. Shettima Bukar Kullima as chairman while Mohammed Gambomi Marte, Ibrahim Modibbo and Ali Abacha Umar as members.
Other boards and agencies that were reconstituted by the governor, include Borno State Teaching Service Board with Dr. Suleman Bello as Chairman and the Borno State Emergency Management Agency (BOSEMA) with Engineer Satomi Ahmed as its Executive Chairman.
