Refund N500m HYPADEC fund – Senator

The Senator representing Niger East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Barrister David Umaru, yesterday demanded the refund to the national coffers, the N500 million budgeted for the Hydro-Electric Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPADEC).
Umaru told newsmen in Minna that the fund was budgeted in 2014 and 2015 but was not released due to the late take-off of the commission’s operations. He said he would spearhead an investigation into the delay in take-off of the commission.
