Tambuwal approves N891.5m for scholarship

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has approved N891.5 million for the payment of scholarships to students  within and outside the country.
He also directed the state Scholarship Board to ensure the payment is done immediately in order to alleviate the suffering of the students.
A statement by his spokesman, Malam Imam Imam, said the sum of N387. 9 million was for indigenes of the state studying in various schools across the world with the exception of those in Uganda, Sudan, Niger Republic and Bangladesh.
