PAN commences production of cheaper vehicles for low income earners

Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited (PAN) has started producing cheaper vehicles for low income earners and will soon get the vehicles into the market, the Managing Director of PAN, Ibrahim Boye, has said.
The Managing Director who spoke to newsmen in Kaduna said the company, like any other business company, had its low and high times, noting that the company is fully back to intensify far reaching operations.
“Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited has never stopped working but only that like every other business there has been low and high times for the company. We are now back fully on stream and we will intensify far reaching operations. We have low range of taxis and there are also high range vehicles for executives and the government. Moreover, Peugeot has started producing cheaper vehicles for low income earners. Imagine today if Peugeot can offer a car for taxi that means we have actually started to address cheaper car market segment, and definitely we are going to get more of the cheaper vehicles into the market,” Boye said.
He said PAN has a Vehicle Finance Scheme supported by its banks and that many of the banks are supporting them by way of sponsorship and financing employees to buy vehicles. He said some of the employees, for the first time, and anybody can now afford PAN vehicles.
He commended Kaduna State Government for recently commissioning over 200 cabs scheme for taxis, stressing that the state government ought to patronize PAN products since the company is located in the state and whatever benefits it has can translate to more employment and economic opportunities for the people of the state.
 He added that the company expects massive usage and patronage of Peugeot vehicles by the people and the state government, saying that this is the beginning of lots of more things to come.
