Ministry’s new Permanent Secretary pledges open-door policy

The new Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Information, Mrs. Ayotunde Adesugba, on Friday pledged to operate an open-door policy for the ministry’s staff to contribute to the actualization of its mandate.
Mrs Adesugba gave the pledge at the Radio House, Abuja while taking over from her predecessor, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, who was redeployed to the Federal Ministry of Education.
The new permanent secretary promised, in what she said is keeping with President Muhammadu Buhari’s mandate, to recognize competence and hardwork, while discouraging indolence in order to achieve the change Nigerians were yearning.
Mrs Adesugba, who described her appointment as a homecoming, encouraged staff to be committed to their jobs, “because hardwork, determination and transparency were keys to success.”
Dr Yemi-Esan thanked the management and staff for their overwhelming support while she was the ministry’s permanent secretary and urged them to extend the same support to her successor.
